What a gem. The educational aspect to the tour was great for the kids. They learned about the caves, the old civilizations that were here. Then swimming in the cave with masks was fantastic. Finished off with a chat and a drink. Really worth a visit and 5 mins from jambiani.

A unique off the beaten path experience close to Jambiani. It is an easy hike or bike ride in. You will learn about the local history, and if you are lucky you can see the monkeys living in the nearby forest. Take a dip in the cool refreshing waters, which is a nice relief from the hot sun. It is something unique and worth adding to your list of activities when visiting the East Coast of Zanzibar.

When you stay in Jambiani you should visit that hidden place. Kuza Cave is a former “holy spot” where you can swim in fresh water. On the property Natalie and young people from Jambiani want to build up a place where the different cultures from Zanzibar and its tourists from abroad can interact. We wish them all the best.

Just 10 minutes from Paje, this beautiful unexplored cave is located. The cave is thousands of years old and looks very impressive. When you descent in the cave, you can take a bath in the turquoise water, which is really refreshing, since this water is actually cold! Definitely worth a visit!

Kuza Cave felt like in a Fairytale. First we walked through the, you could call it, small jungle and that was already impressing us. And then we walked in the cave we climbed the stairs and stones and reached the cave and the totally clear and light blue water. The guide explained us a lot about this magic place and we met some of the local workers there who have been very talkative and friendly. All in all we totally enjoyed our day and I can’t wait to come back to Kuza Cave!
