Jambiani Village

Kuzu Cave is a 10 minute walk 1 km from  the beach and village of the northern Jambiani (Kibigija), on the East Coast of Zanzibar Island in Tanzania, Africa. If you are looking for things to do in Jambiani then Kuza Cave will surprise you!

Jambiani is famous for it’s unique mixture of the local life of a small fishing village and tourism. Travellers are attracted to the white sands, coral reefs and warm waters of the Indian Oceans. If you are looking for 24 hour parties or 5 star resorts you may prefer the west coast of Zanzibar. Here in Jambiani, life is slower and the goats, chickens, cows, and ducks create the traffic jams. You are welcome to join us here at Kuza Cave if you are ready to explore something off the beaten track and really feel a part of the local culture.

Our project supports Kibigija  School and other educational projects. We offer training to young people and children in dancing, drumming, English and hospitality.

There are many beautiful things to see and do in Jambiani. Our focus at Kuza Cave is to connect with the local community through cooking, music, art  and language lessons. Our friendly staff can introduce you to local tour guides for other activities, including:

  • KIte Surfing Lessons
  • Snorkelling and Diving
  • Fishing
  • Seaweed farming
  • Turtle Sanctuary
  • Jambiani Butterfly
  • Jozani Forest tours
